Cody Jr's indie-rock songwriting and live performances blend Talking Heads, Dr Feelgood and early REM with a Neil Young electric guitar vibe. Now sprinkle on a dash of Ramones for some Cody Jr.

Indie rock, California vibes. Cody Jr is a London band mixing high-energy melodies with a sun-drenched West Coast feel. Hints of Talking Heads and Dr. Feelgood, delivered with urgency and drive like early R.E.M, with sharp hooks, infectious rhythms and danceable indie songs with a warm, cinematic edge. If you’ve seen us live, you know we love giving you a show you can move to. Recent London highlights: The Troubadour and The Good Mixer, plus two headline nights at The Spice of Life in Soho + much more. Spring 2026 we’re dropping our debut single “End of the Arts" - a crowd favourite with bounce, energy and lift. It's 1990's California come to life.

Del Halpin has a killer Gretsch guitar in his hand, or one of his many other guitars. Mark Conlon is the big man on the tiny drum set. Jim Nicholson fronts the band and brings the California soul and experience. Jez Gibson plays bass. Man, does he play bass. He opened for Adam and the Ants back in the day and often loves a suit on stage.
